The Open Lateral Wedge Roller (OLWR) shoe eases stress on the collateral ligaments and helps in bony issues of the interphalangeal joint between the coffin bone and short pastern.
This joint has up to 20% lateral motion to accommodate uneven ground and is the location of the low ring bone.
The shoe can also help with proximal interphalangeal issues although to a lesser degree. The principle effect is to reduce pressure by reducing the area of the weight bearing and moving toward the center of the hoof.
Shoes are available in flat and wedge (for negative palmar angle). Available in sizes 5-10. Sold in pairs.
