This shoe has a strong bevel from the last nail hole continuing around to the opposite nail hole and a straight bar to give heel support. Light in weight and provides more ground surface by weight than a steel shoe. The bevel reduces the diameter of surface contact; while the increased thickness raises the center of rotation. By reducing the lever arm, both of these properties reduce the force needed to rotate the hoof capsule in any forward direction. Made from 1/2" thick aluminum.
The Straight Bar Lateral Roller may be beneficial in treating: Osteoarthritis of the pastern joint Osteoarthritis of the coffin joint Bilateral collateral ligament injuries
